Crookston High School’s Ashlyn Bailey has been named the Minnesota State High School League’s Most Valuable Teammate. The nomination said:
Ashlyn takes on the challenge of facing some of the best players in the state at No. 1 singles without hesitation. She always answers, “I want to do what is best for the team.” As a co-captain, Ashlyn mentors younger players and helps organize team activities. She shows up early every day with a positive attitude and gives 100% every minute she is on the court. She also sets an academic example by maintaining a high GPA and taking several college courses.
The Minnesota State High School League and TruStone Financial sponsor a weekly Most Valuable Teammate award program for 11th and 12th grade students who exemplify the qualities of a great teammate.

- Respectful, reliable and supportive of others.
Nominations: Activity directors, athletic coaches and fine arts directors can nominate their students via this MSHSL.org nomination form. Student nominations will be accepted throughout the school year, during every season of play.
