ABI BRULEY WINS 2021 OX CART DAYS TALENT CONTEST

The 2021 Ox Cart Days Crookston’s Got Talent Contest was held this afternoon at Downtown Square. There were six different participants, with the top three taking home a cash prize.

Talents ranged from singing, “robotic dancing,” and playing the piano.

The audience was the judge based on a round of applause after all the acts. While all six participants got a good cheer from the crowd, Abi Bruley was awarded first place and took home the cash prize of $250.  Monroe Shockman was awarded second place for her performance and received $100. And Nacho Average Squad took third place, receiving $50.

The contestants and their talents were

  • Monroe Shockman (Singing “Open My Eyes”)
  • Hamsini Chanda (Playing The Piano)
  • Riley Moland (Robotic Dancing)
  • Nacho Average Squad featuring Asher Vigness, Bladen Melsa, Beau Smith, Harrison Cameron, & Jameson Reese (Dancing)
  • Abi Bruley (Singing “I don’t want to be you anymore” by Billie Eilish)
  • Caidyn Johnson (Singing “Wondering” by Olivia Rodrigo & Julie Lester)
