Armando Torres Zepeda, 70, of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away on July 30, 2026 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Armando was born on November 13, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas to Jose and Josie Torres Zepeda. When Armando was young, he migrated with this family to Indiana, North Dakota, and Minnesota before returning to San Antonio. In 1987, he moved to Grand Forks before ultimately settling in Crookston. Armando worked for Dee’s Incorporated at a molder in the foundry. He enjoyed staying active. Even after retirement Armando kept busy with projects around his home or with his cars. He also enjoyed spending his time fishing and shooting the breeze with neighbors.
Armando is survived by his children, Julie, Alfonso, and Gary; grandchildren, Michael, Jeremy, Stefan, Isabella, Gary, Sophia, and Eli. He is also survived by his sisters, Lupe Carrisalez, JoAnne (Gilbert) Vallejo, Diana (George) Fonseca; brothers, Jose (Janie) Zepeda, Fred (Clara) Zepeda, Henry (Lisa) Zepeda; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Josie Zepeda; sisters, Esmie Lopez, Elta Sanchez, Hilda Pena; brothers-in-law, Antonio Carrisalez and Lazaro Lopez.
A memorial service to celebrate Armando’s life will be held on Thursday August 27, 2026, at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 pm with visitation beginning at 4:00 pm.
