BENEDICTINE LIVING COMMUNITY GLOW GOLF TOURNAMENT RECAP, RESULTS, AND PICTURES

Fifteen teams participated in The Benedictine Living Community Crookston Glow Golf Tournament Scramble on Saturday, September 9. Cassie Rudie, Benedictine Crookston’s

The Foundation Development Director stated, “It was an enjoyable event, and we had a great night of golf and fundraising. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather.”

The first-place team consisted of golfers Wade Hanson, Wes Hanson, Travis Pederson, and Wyatt Hanson. The second-place team was named Glow V 1, and the golfers were Virgil Campbell, Ryan Korynta, Sammy Finseth, and Ethan Finseth. The third-place team was sponsored by Total Lawn Care and Landscaping, and members of that team included Morgan Terpstra, Tyler Conklin, Michael Nottestad, and Ryan Abeld.

Cassie Rudie noted that this year’s proceeds will be used towards updates and repairs of the Wander Guard System on the Benedictine Crookston campus.   The Wander Guard System is a bracelet monitoring device given to high-risk residents and tenants that alerts staff when that person has gone out an exit door. The current system is over 20 years old, and many replacement parts are no longer available.

Rudie states, “It is important that we have a system that can withstand interference and interact with our new call light system. We are so grateful for the support, generosity, sponsorship, and participation of those involved in the Glow Golf Tournament. It is so valued and appreciated, and the support allows Benedictine Crookston to continue serving the elders of our community and region.”
