The Crookston American Legion Baseball team struggled offensively and was swept by Badger-Greenbush-Middle River by identical 10-0 scores in a doubleheader played in Greenbush.
GAME ONE-
In the first inning, Crookston’s Joe Doda doubled and Brady Butt walked and they had runners at first and second base with one out. The next batter grounded into a 6-4-3 double play and the threat was over. In the bottom of the first inning, BGMR scored three runs.
Neither team scored in the second inning, but BGMR added three more runs in the third inning when five straight batters reached with three of them scoring for a 6-0 lead. BGMR added a solo home run in the fourth inning and another solo home run in the sixth inning for an 8-0 lead. BGMR added two more runs in the sixth inning to win the game 10-0 after the 10-run rule.

GAME TWO-
BGMR started the second game by scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning, both runs scoring with two outs. They added four runs in the second inning after the leadoff batter was hit by a pitch, the next batter reached on an error, followed by two singles and a double for a 6-0 lead. BGMR scored four more runs in the third inning, taking advantage of an error, walk, hit batter, a single, double and single to score the game-winning run for a 10-0 victory in three innings.
Crookston drops to 0-4 on the season and they are scheduled to play at Stephen-Argyle on Saturday.
