CROOKSTON INDIVIDUAL RESULTS –
Crookston had one champion, with Gavyn Hlucny remaining undefeated as he dominated the 152-pound bracket with a first-round bye. He won his second and third-round matches by pin in under a minute and won the championship with a Tech Fall in the second period when he took a 17-1 lead. Hlucny is now 16-0 on the season.

The Pirates had two second-place finishes, with Lucas Perala going 21 at 160 pounds and Riley Helgeson going 2-1 at Heavyweight.
Perala had a round-robin, with only four wrestlers in his weight class. Lucas won the first match in an exciting 8-7 decision. He lost his second match to Austin Geiser by a pin but bounced back to win his third match by a pin in 24 seconds to finish second place.
Helgeson impressively won his first match by a pin in 27 seconds.  In the semi-finals, Riley dominated again with a win by pin in 63 seconds to advance to the championship. The championship was a thriller, with Grady Roberts of New York Mills getting a first-period takedown for a 3-0 lead after the first period. In the second period, Helgeson scored one point on an escape eight seconds into the period, and that would be the only point of the period, and Helgeson trailed 3-1. In the third period, Roberts was called for stalling a second time in the match. This time, it was with seven seconds left, and Helgeson trailed 3-2, but couldn’t get another point and finished second place.
