The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) chapter 1342 of Grand Forks will hold a Young Eagles Rally on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Crookston Municipal Airport.
Join in on a thrilling day of flight, as kids ages 8 to 17 can ride in an airplane (a parent or legal guardian’s signature is required). Chapter 1342 will bring three University of North Dakota (UND) Piper Archers with five UND flight instructors volunteering. Each flight will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Extra aircraft will be on-site, including the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ surveillance aircraft.
This event is free and open to the public. An event check-in and a pre-flight briefing will take place before the young eagles board the aircraft.
There will be other small, hands-on activities, and a pancake breakfast is included.
Pre-registration is encouraged, as a limited number of seats will be available. To register for this once-in-a-lifetime event, scan the QR code below.
