This year marked the 4th Annual Hugo’s Family Market Place and United Way of Crookston Golf Tournament with 17 teams participating this year. Hugo’s and the United Way are thankful for all the team sponsors, 64 Hole sponsors, and others for their donations. The golf tournament made $13,104 and the United Way of Crookston received a check from the Crookston Hugo’s Family Marketplace store for $7,001.72 ($4,001.72 came from the Crookston Hugo’s employees and $3,000.00 from the corporate office) for a total of over $20,000. “The United Way thanks Hugo’s for all their support to United Way of Crookston, Inc.,” said United Way of Crookston CEO Lori Wagner. “The Golf Tournament is a United Way fun-raiser with a purpose, as it helps 23 local non-profit agencies’ programs and projects. When you donate to United Way, your dollars stay local. A special thank you to Kristi Magnuson-Nelson at Hugo’s Family Market Place; Bob O’Halloran, Nick Nelson, Tommy Helgeson as the Emcee, Minakwa Golf Club, United Way Golf Committee members and the United Way Board for doing such a great job every year.”
