The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has extended a Severe Thunderstorm Watch to include counties in northwest Minnesota until 8:00 p.m.
The Minnesota counties added to the watch including Polk, Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Red Lake, and Roseau.
The North Dakota counties added to the watch are Grand Forks and Nelson.
The watch includes the cities of Crookston, Argyle, East Grand Forks, Grand Forks, Greenbush, Hallock, Karlstad, Lakota, Lancaster, McVille, Red Lake Falls, Roseau, Stephen, Thief River Falls, Tolna, Warren, and Warroad.
