ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON HIGHWAY 2 FROM ERSKINE TO FOSSTON TO BEGIN MAY 5

Motorists on Highway 2 from Erskine to Fosston can expect short-term delays and lane closures as construction begins mid-May. During the project, crews will be replacing the concrete roadway on Highway 2 eastbound lanes between Erskine and Fosston as well as Highway 2 westbound lanes in McIntosh. The roadway will be replaced with bituminous pavement. The project also includes seal coat and a four-lane to three-lane restripe in Fosston, which will begin late summer 2022.

Spruce Valley Corporation is the contractor for the $18 million project. For more information and a project map, visit the website at www.mndot.gov/d2/projects/hwy2-fosston-erskine.

This project will include a safer road and a smoother, longer-lasting driving surface.

MnDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and follow traffic signs in work zones.
