STEPHEN-ARGYLE LEGION BASEBALL FALLS TO ADA IN DISTRICT TOURNAMENT

A sixth-inning rally was not enough for Stephen-Argyle Legion Posts #353 & #390 Baseball as they fall to Ada Legion Post #26 Baseball by a score of 6-4 at the Sub-State District 9 Legion Baseball tournament at Tony Stukel Field in Warroad.

FIRST INNING
The first Ada batter was retired before Brennen Fetting singled. Beau Fetting and Cameron Spaeth both drew walks to load the bases before Lane Kritzberger doubled to score two runs. Baron Odden hit a sacrifice fly to score another run before the next batter was retired, ending the inning with Ada taking a 3-0 lead.
Stephen-Argyle’s first two batters were retired before Demetrius Oberg hit a home run to cut the deficit to 3-1. The next batter was retired, ending the inning.

SECOND INNING
Ada began with a walk from Cannon Anderson before the next batter grounded into a double play. Casper Kritzberger singled before he was caught stealing for the last out of the inning.
Stephen Argyle’s Frank Finney doubled to lead off the inning before Derek Morlie reached on a error. The next three batters were retired, ending the threat and keeping the game at 3-1 Ada.

THIRD INNING
Ada’s Brennen Fetting singled to start to inning before Beau Fetting drew a walk. Both Fettings tried a double steal, but Brenning Fetting was caught at third. The next two batters were retired, ending the half-inning.
Stephen-Argyle was retired in 1-2-3 fashion.

FOURTH INNING
Ada began the inning with a lead-off single from Odden before the next batter was retired. Anderson drew a walk before Brady Gilbertson doubled to score a run. Another run scored off of a wild pitch, to extend Ada’s lead to 5-1, before the next two batters were retired.
Aiden Anderson was hit by a pitch to begin the inning for Stephen-Argyle. Frank Finney singled before Anderson scored on a passed ball. The next three batter were retired to end the inning with Stephen-Argyle cutting their deficit to 5-2.

FIFTH INNING
The first Ada batter was retired before Cameron Spaeth doubled. The next batter was retired before Baron Odden singled to score a run, furthering Ada’s lead 6-2. The next batter was retired, ending the half-inning.
Stephen-Argyle was retired in 1-2-3 fashion.

SIXTH INNING
Ada was retired in 1-2-3 fashion.
Stephen-Argyle began the inning with a double from Oberg. The next batter was retired before Frank Finney singled to score a run and cut the deficit to 6-3. The next batter was retired before Carson Safranski drew a walk. Finney scored on a passed ball before the next batter was retired, ending the inning with Ada still ahead 6-4.

SEVENTH INNING
Ada began the inning with Brennen Fetting reaching on error. The next batter was retired before Brennen Fetting was caught stealing. The next batter was retired, ending the half-inning with Ada leading 6-4.
Ada was retired in 1-2-3 fashion, ending the game with an Ada 6-4 victory.
