STEVE GUST TO COACH USA ATHLETES INTERNATIONAL TEAM

University of Minnesota Crookston baseball coach Steve Gust will coach a USA Athletes International team that will head to the Netherlands July 14-23 to compete in the Robur ’58 Apeldoorn Series.
The team will consist of top college players, including Scott Finberg (Jr., IF, Stillwater), who played junior college baseball at Century College and will begin competing for the Golden Eagles this season. The USA Athletes International team will compete against the best teams from across Europe. The event is hosted by the Robur ’58 baseball club.
During the trip, the members of the team will also get the chance to tour the Netherlands, including the Anne Frank House, a canal cruise of Amsterdam, the Heineken brewery, the Hague, and the Het Loo Palace.
Gust is entering his fifth season as head coach for the Minnesota Crookston baseball program. Gust has led the Golden Eagles into unprecedented success over the last four seasons, including two NSIC tournament appearances and the program’s best three seasons in school history.
Since 1992, USA Athletes International (USAAI) has been a global leader in educational/sports tours. Providing recommended student-athletes with the opportunity to participate in the sport they love on the international stage and providing them with cultural opportunities that will allow them to learn about the location at the same time.
