Crookston Wrestling’s Gavyn Hlucny wrestles finished 8th at Jackhamer Tourney in Pequot Lakes

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team had eight wrestlers competing in the two-day Pequot Lakes Jackhammer tournament. Crookston finished 33rd out of 38 teams with 25 points. Staples-Motley won the tournament with 265.5 points, 84 points better than runner-up Hutchinson.Crookston’s top performer and only placer was Gavyn Hlucny. He finished eighth place at 152 pounds. Crookston Wrestling falls to Hillsboro and beats Thompson

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team lost to Hillsboro/Central Valley 47-30 and beat Thompson 46-21 at the Hillsboro/Central Valley triangular. Crookston filled two more spots in the lineup so instead of giving up five spots (30 points) before the match started, they were down three matches (18 point) and that helped them with a close loss
