UPDATES MADE TO VARIANCE ON EAST SHORE PROJECT, PLAN WILL GO TO MNDOT FOR APPROVAL

The Polk County Commissioners earlier this year approved a resolution for a variance to the State Aid Highway Rules of Operation for a variance on the dimensions for back-in diagonal parking along the East Shore of Maple Lake.  The commissioners updated the variance on Tuesday to reflect requests for wording the Minnesota Department of Transportation

MNDOT REMINDS MOTORISTS TO USE EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM SIGNS AT RAIL CROSSINGS

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds motorists to use railroad emergency notification system signs when there is a safety issue or emergency situation at a rail grade crossing.
