The City of Crookston is providing notice of a request for proposals to provide mowing service for nuisance mowing for the City of Crookston and the fees to owners and property occupants for any nuisance mowing below –
MOWING SERVICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Notice is hereby given that the City of Crookston shall receive proposals with the City Clerk’s office, 124 North Broadway, Crookston, MN 56716 until 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020, for mowing service for nuisance mowing. This may involve going onto private property that is in violation of Ordinance 26 3rd Series entitled “Weeds and Grass” and documenting violations (including photographs), picking up hazards, and mowing. The successful bidder will provide their own equipment and personnel and will be required to provide proof of insurance. Interested parties may pick up a proposal packet at the City Clerk’s office, City Hall. The City has the right to reject any and all proposals.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF NUISANCE MOWING FEES
By order of the City Council, Crookston, Minnesota, City Code Section 94.35, Weeds and Grass, directs owners and occupants of property within the City to cut and remove all weeds, whether noxious or not, and all grass outside the travel portion of any street or alley adjacent to the property having attained a height of six (6) inches. If weeds are not so cut and removed or if the grass is not so cut, the City may do so at the expense of the owner and occupant and, if not paid, the charge for such work may be made a special assessment against the property.
