The Crookston School District will offer two free meals a day for students and kids ages 0-18 continuing for any regularly scheduled school day that the school is closed.  The meals will be available from 11-1 p.m. at Highland School. Limited delivery options are available if circumstances make you unable to pick up food. For questions, delivery – for those who are unable to pickup food, or to call ahead with allergies call 281-5600 between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  There will be no food pickup Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13 due to those dates not being regular school days due to the Easter Holiday, so three days of meals will be available for pickup on Thursday, April 9. These should be refrigerated immediately and one will contain peanut butter, so please call ahead if there is a peanut allergy. 

SUMMIT tenant families and friends dropping off groceries and other items. PLEASE use the South Villa MAIN Door during business hours. If you need to make other arrangements, please call 218-281-3424.

Polk County Public Health is available to answer questions about COVID 19, and help obtain essential services such as groceries, medications and other daily items at 281-3385.  The phone is staffed Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

The Crookston Times have set out newspaper vending machines outside their office at 124 S. Broadway with non-perishable unopened food items inside for kids and families in need while schools are closed. If you would like to drop off food items, feel free to bring them to their office or fill the machines. Please help keep the machines organized and let the Times know if they’re empty.

Hugo’s Family Marketplace is offering shopping for seniors and people with illnesses from 6-7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 8-9 a.m. Saturdays, and Sundays during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, April 7 at 8:00 a.m. at the Polk County Government Center. 

The Crookston Eagles Auxiliary 873 Scholarship application for 2020 is available for pickup at the Crookston High School Office. Applicants must have a female relative as a member of the Auxiliary. The Crookston Noon Day Lions Community Blood Drive will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crookston in Trinity’s Youth Room on Monday, April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sign up with Katie at Vitalant by calling 701-365-8928 or go to vitalant.org and use sponsor code: crookston.

Driver and Vehicle Services is allowing Deputy Registrar offices to resume processing title transfers, duplicate titles, and registration. The Polk County License Center will be utilizing the drop box outside the Polk County Government Center and the mail to provide services.
