CHEDA BOARD PRESIDENT KURT HELDSTAB APPOINTS SEVEN TO ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority (CHEDA) Board President Kurt Heldstab has appointed a group of seven, including himself, to serve as an Advisory Committee to the CHEDA Board of Commissioners.  The individuals that comprise the committee are:

Kurt Heldstab (Current CHEDA Board president)
Betty Arvidson (RiverView Health and current CHEDA Board member)
Don Cavalier (Crookston City Councilman)
Dale Stainbrook (Crookston City Councilman)
Jake Fee (Crookston City Councilman)
Craig Buness (Former Crookston City Councilman and Polk County Commissioner)
Nick Nicholas (Current interim Crookston School Board member, former Polk County Commissioner and co-owner of Dee Inc.)

This CHEDA Advisory Committee has been formed with the primary intent of evaluating the possible incentives being made available to Epitome Energy.  An initial meeting was held today (Tuesday, July 2) to effectively form the Committee.  “We covered what that meant specifically and that this Committee will fall under the Open Meeting laws, and quorums, etc,” said CHEDA Executive Director Craig Hoiseth.  “Also, we informed them that the Committee falls under the newly adopted Code of Conduct/Ethics.”

Heldstab suggested and it was agreed that the advisory board will meet Tuesday, July 9 to look at various incentives, particularly number one on the list, the potential $1.25M loan to Epitome.
