CITY COUNCIL, WAY & MEANS COMMITTEE WILL MEET MONDAY NIGHT

The Crookston City Council will meet Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The consent agenda includes approving the proposed minutes from the January 28 meeting and resolutions to, approve City of Crookston bills and disbursements in the amount of $217,070.65 for check numbers 61081-61154; approve gambling application for UMC Teambackers; approve partial appointments to boards and commissions; call for a public hearing for bond financing on behalf of RiverView Healthcare Association; amend resolution 26866 to update buyer/transferee for Outlot A of Barrette Street Estates’ approve purchase of 2019 Chevy Tahoe from Brost Chevrolet.    

There will be a public hearing for 2019 Street Improvement Projects 966-971 which includes street reconstruction of Park Lane from University Avenue to Locken Boulevard; street construction for the extension of Spruce Lane and Fir Lane from the east side of Barrette Street approximately 350 feet east; curb replacement and water main trench repair on North Broadway from sixth street to seventh street.  There are four streets receiving bituminous mill and overlay, Ash Street from 200 feet south of Loring Street to E. 3rd Street; 2nd Street from Market Street to Ash Street; 3rd Street from Main Street to Broadway; 4th Street from Broadway to Elm Street.   A resolution to approve the 2019 Street Improvement Projects is on the regular agenda following the public hearing.

The Ways & Means Committee will Monday night following City Council in the Council Chambers at City Hall.  On the agenda is an update on the Agassiz Townhome Project from Tri-Valley Opportunity Council CEO Jason Carlson.  Also on the agenda is a report from the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and the committee appointments for Councilmembers.
