CROOKSTON 10U BASEBALL WINS TOURNEY

The Crookston Park and Rec 10U Baseball team has had a good summer and that continued this weekend with a first place finish in their own tournament at the Highland Complex.  Crookston went 3-1 in the tournament and beat Warroad in a true championship game to win the tournament.  Last weekend, Crookston finished second place out of 11 teams at the Thief River Falls tournament, losing to Bemidji in the championship game.
Members of the team are Brady Chandler, Greyson Ecker, Dexter Janek, Josh Hesby, Jose Arriaga, Tate Hamre, Grant Funk, Hudson Rick, Isaiah Donarski, Tarek Seigle, Lucas Perala, Reggie Winjum, Parker Kelly, and Carter Fee.  The team is coached by Tyson Seigle, Jared Janek, and DJ Ecker.

First round – Crookston beat Lake of the Woods 6-5
Second round – Crookston beat Minto 10-3
Third round – Warroad beat Crookston 3-0 (forcing a second championship game)
Championship – Crookston beat Warroad 7-4
