CROOKSTON EAT UNITED SUMMER PROGRAM BACK FOR YEAR 9

The Eat United Summer Food Service Program is back for its ninth year in Crookston.

For those unfamiliar with this program, Eat United serves free meals to all youth ages 0-18 on a first come, first serve basis. When we initially implemented this program back in 2015, the goal was to fill the hunger gap that can occur in communities when school is not in session. Every child is welcomed and encouraged to participate in this program, as the more meals served, the more successful the program becomes.
Eat United will operate Mondays-Thursdays from June 5 – July 27 (no operation the week of July 3-6) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Some summer programs end at 12:30 p.m., and therefore they will continue to serve for a few minutes after the advertised time.
“We are thrilled to once again be partnering with the United Way of Crookston and Tri-Valley Opportunity Council,” said Crookston School District Food Service Director Anna Ogaard. “Tri-Valley will be offering free transportation to and from the Eat United Site. Please check the flyer (pictured below) for bus stops in your neighborhood.”
This program is funded by the USDA and the United Way of Crookston.
