CROOKSTON FIREFIGHTERS PUT OUT GRASS/BRUSH FIRE BY HIGH SCHOOL POND

The Crookston Fire Department was called to the Crookston High School pond area north of the high school for a grass and brush fire. The fire was along the railroad tracks, and one would assume it was from a train.

The fire started to spread along the railroad tracks to the north of the pond, and once the firefighters got to the fire, they quickly extinguished the fire without any damage other than the grass and brush along the pond. We will catch up with the fire department in the morning to see if any more information is available, including the official cause of the fire.
