As a Valentine’s Day “treat,” the Crookston Ox Cart Days committee has rolled out the 2019 schedule of events on their website, crookstonoxcartdays.com. This year, the 30th anniversary of the summer festival will be seven days of entertainment August 12-18.
New events for 2019 include:

‒ Customer Appreciation Days at participating Crookston businesses
‒ Patio Party lunches featuring Drafts Sports Bar & Grill, DaRoos Pizza, and the VFW Post 1902
‒ Taste of Crookston at the Eagles, an Ox Cart Days fundraiser
‒ Minnesota Twins Trivia at Drafts
‒ 3rd Lair Action Sports Skateboard/BMX show and instruction sessions
‒ A Magical Night at the (Crookston) Inn with magician Brady Grove
‒ Island Time steel drum band
‒ Interactive juggling show with Cale the Juggler
‒ Real oxen team, Biscuits and Gravy, meet and greet
‒ Blue Ox log rolling
‒ Hypnotist Sami Dare
‒ Johnny Holm street dance
‒ Jensen Sisters music
‒ Raffle drawings for Handyman for a Day (Travis Oliver) and Maid for a Day
Returning favorites like the Miss Crookston/Little Miss/Junior Miss/Miss Tootsie pageants, Pickleball tournaments, Ribfest, Torchlight Parade, Corn & Brat Feed, Power Wheels Derby, Classic Cruisers Car Show, Ox Cart Run, Craft & Vendor Show, Pancake Breakfast, Lip Sync Contest, Kid’s Tractor Pull, Medallion Hunt, Dodgeball tournaments, Veteran’s Ceremony, Ice Cream Social, and Supermarket Sweep will be held throughout the week. Plus, the firefighter’s Water Wars will return to Ox Cart Days this year on Sunday, August 18.
Beer gardens by the Irishman’s Shanty and Drafts will be available Thursday-Saturday, and food trucks will be available all day Friday and Saturday.
COMMEMORATIVE GLASSES AT DRAFTS ON VALENTINE’S DAY
Drafts Sports Bar & Grill will be selling the 2019 Crookston Ox Cart Days “Cheers to 30 Years” commemorative wine glasses (20 oz.) on Valentine’s Day with a couples wine or beer special.
Buy a set of stemless wine glasses for $20 and get a bottle of wine for $5, a pitcher of select domestic beer for $5 or a pitcher of select craft beer for $8.
Proceeds from the wine glass sales go to the 2019 Crookston Ox Cart Days summer festival.
