CROOKSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGISTRATION DAY IS AUGUST 17

The Crookston Public Schools Back to School Registration Day will be on Thursday, August 17, at the Crookston High School commons from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The registration day is for preschool through 12th grade students, and information packets will be handed out to all families. “Any parent of pre-school or kindergarten to 12th grade can come show up,” said high school principal Matt Torgerson. “Double check information and make sure everything is up to date. It’s your one-stop day where you can come in and get everything taken care of the year.”

Families and students can purchase activity tickets and pay breakfast and lunch fees. Printable forms are available at https://www.crookston.k12.mn.us/.

New families and Kindergarten students can register and meet the staff members. They will also be able to receive information about the Crookston School District. The Crookston School district offers free elementary childcare on the mornings from 6:45 am until school starts. For after-school childcare, the fee is based on income. After-school childcare begins after school and ends at 5:00 pm on school days. Parents can fill out an application for educational benefits on the Crookston Public Schools website by clicking here.

Students entering grades 6-12 will be able to register for classes. “Class scheduling is really for the sixth through 12th graders. They will have their schedules printed off in their folders ready to go,” said Torgerson. “So they can pick up and double check their classes. And if there are a couple of upperclassmen that maybe wanted to change something out, we can do that on that day as well.”
