CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET MONDAY

The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday at 5:00 p.m. in the CHS Choir/Orchestra room.

The agenda will include the approval of updated policies from the Minnesota School Board Association and the state’s recently updated legislature. The policies include harassment and violence, drug/alcohol/cannabis testing, student discipline, corporal punishment and prone restraining, protection and privacy of pupil records, and Title XI Sex Nondiscrimination Policy. The agenda will also include the approval of the engagement letter for Brady Martz Auditing Services, the approval of the Europe trip for the summer of 2026 for grades 9-12, and the approval of the first reading of the policies that are listed above.

The board will also look to approve $4,500 in donations. The donations will include

  • $500 from the Eldred Farmer’s Elevator Company for the Crookston FFA
  • $500 from the Noon Day Lions Club for Middle School Field Trips
  • $500 from the Matron’s Club for HES winter clothing supplies
  • $2,000 from the Halstad Telephone Company for various scholarships
  • $1,000 from the Pirate Boosters for Dance Team music licensing

The consent agenda will include the approval of minutes from the February 26 and March 6 meetings and the approval of bills and disbursements in the amount of $1,899,306.02.
It will also include the acceptance of resignation from Highland Elementary School Teacher Rachel Hurner, Highland Elementary School Paraprofessional Marisa Arriaga, Crookston High School Kitchen Helper Markarita Bixby, Girls Hockey assistant coach Stacy Olson, and Girls Hockey Coach Emily Meyer

The consent agenda will also include the approval of employment with Paraprofessional Serena Duquette, CHS Paraprofessional Micelle Horn, Bus Driver Marcel Vaudrin, and Special Ed Instructor Jennifer Ehlen-Leitner.
