CROOKSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT TO HOST PRESCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL UPDATE

The Crookston School District will host another parent meeting with an update and a Question and Answer session on the addition of the middle school in the high school building and the Highland School in addition to bringing the Pre-K and first graders to Highland.  The meeting will be at Crookston High School tonight at 5:30 p.m., and they will split into two groups.  The middle school meeting will be in the commons, and the preschool transition meeting will be in the auditorium.

“The middle school is happening this fall, and this will be the second meeting just to have parents come in and hear information about what a schedule will look like (at the middle school), see some pictures of the remodel, and to be able to ask questions on what it will look like for my child moving to a new building.  That meeting will be for the fifth and sixth-grade students that will be at the 6-12 building next year,” said Superintendent Dave Kuehn. “The other meeting will be more for the preschool parents that will be a part of the kindergarten and pre-school move that will be in the fall of 2024.”

The meeting is open to the public but more for the parents of the students that will be affected by the projects.  “It is a way to allow parents to come in and get some information and, more importantly, to provide feedback and ask questions,” said Kuehn.  “We know there are questions out there, and we want to be transparent and open to answering questions from parents.”

The meeting will be held tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Crookston High School, with the preschool meeting in the auditorium and the middle school meeting in the commons.
