EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION FESTIVAL IS APRIL 25

Early Childhood Family Education will hold the annual Celebrate the Young Child Family Festival Thursday, April 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Crookston High School.

More than 20 organizations will have information booths for families with children ages birth to eight.  Early Childhood Family Education Family Educator Gina Gunderson said among the information booths there will be stations focusing on kindness, social and emotional health among others.  “The festival is titled “The Power of Kindness this year,” said Gunderson. “Each child will go home with a puppet that allows the children to experience the feelings of other characters and learn important social behaviors and conversation skills.”

Tri-Valley will provide transportation and there will also be a meal with the night’s activities. “T.H.E. Bus will provide free rides to the event and just call Tri-Valley to get your free ride,” said Gunderson.  “There will be a free meal as well and we’re serving BBQ, cheese sticks, some fruit.  Should be a great time.”

To schedule your ride call 281-0700.  The event is made possible by the Celebrate the Young Child Collaborative, Crookston Early Childhood Summit, and the Otto Bremer Foundation.
