FINALISTS FOR U OF M PRESIDENT TO VISIT CROOKSTON OVER THE NEXT WEEK

The University of Minnesota Board of Regents named Laura Bloomberg, Rebecca Cunningham and James Holloway as finalists to be the 18th President of the University of Minnesota System. The finalists rose to the top of a pool of four lead candidates unanimously endorsed by the Board’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee.

Starting today, finalists will visit the Crookston, Duluth, Morris, Rochester, and Twin Cities campuses to meet with students, faculty, staff, and the public in a series of open forums, with each including a brief presentation and moderated Q&A session. 

The finalists include:

Dr. Laura Blomberg, who currently serves as the president of Cleveland State University and was the former Dean of the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Dr. Rebecca Cunningham, who currently serves as the vice president for research and innovation at the University of Michigan.

Dr. James Holloway, who currently serves as the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of New Mexico.

Dr. James Holloway will be on the UMC campus Monday, February 12 for a campus forum at Kiehle Auditorium from 2 to 3:00 p.m.  You can Join the livestream. There will be an open house with Dr. Halloway at Kiehl Rotunda from 3 to 4:00 p.m.

Dr. Laura Blomberg will be on the UMC campus on Wednesday, February 14 for a campus forum at Kiehle Auditorium from 3 to 4:00 p.m.  You can Link to livestream. There will be an open house with Dr. Bloomberg from 4 to 5:00 p.m. at the Kiehle Rotunda. 

Dr. Rebecca Cunningham will be on the UMC campus on Monday, February 19 for a campus open forum at Kiehle Auditorium from 2 to 3:00 p.m. Join the livestream. There will be an open house with Dr. Cunningham from 3 to 4:00 p.m. in the Kiehle Rotunda.
