MELANIE LESSARD THANKS THE COMMUNITY FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF MARC MERO APPEARANCE

THANK YOU!!!

Wow, what an amazing day it was on Wednesday with Marc Mero.

First off, I would like to give a HUGE thank you to Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force, RiverView Recovery Center, Glenmore Foundation, NW Mental Health, Miss Tootsie and various anonymous sponsors….without all of your generous donations, this would not be possible. My heart is overflowing with thanks.

Second, Thank You to the schools, both Crookston High School and the University of Crookston for allowing Mr. Mero to come into your house to help others.

Third, Thank You who attended. We had students from East Grand Forks, Fisher, Climax, Fertile, Red Lake Falls, Erskine, Win-E-Mac, UMC, along with our very own CHS students, teachers, para’s, staff, parents, guardians, aunt’s, uncle, grandparents….you name it, they were there. Please take this letter as a warm-hearted THANK YOU for making this event such a special day for a lot of people. By you all attending, I figured between the 3 events, close to 900 people, it will help others in many ways.  Remember, we have choices on what we do in our lives. Believe in those choices!!

Fourth, Thank You KROX, Crookston Times, Crookston TV, and all the places that allowed me to hang flyers and advertise this event….It could have been the radio, paper, TV channel or a flyer that saved a life, so thank you.

Fifth, Thank You Marc Mero, for your unselfish desire to help others. You are truly an amazing person. With everything you have been thru in your life, you felt the need to help others thru all your struggles and tears.

Together we saved a girl that Wednesday morning. IF it wasn’t for her friend forcing this young lady to come and get your autograph, me overhearing their conversation, and you talking to her after she sat and listened to you, Lord knows what could have happened. You came to us on that specific day and time for a reason, so a deep down in my heart thank you for that.

I am just overwhelmed by how many lives you have touched on Wednesday, lives were forever altered by you being here, so thank you.

Like Marc says, “It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up. You can do anything you set your mind to!” And that’s exactly what I plan on doing…..

It takes a lot for me to be speechless, just ask those who know me, but I truly am. Very humble that this event took place. My goal is to continue to have amazing events like this to help our youth and our community as a whole, so please stay tuned!!!

Sincerely from the bottom of my heart….THANK YOU!!!
