PIRATE DANCE TEAM COMPETES IN BRAINERD, JV FINISHES 1ST

The Crookston Pirates dance team started the competition season on Saturday at a highly competitive Brainerd meet where mostly Class AA schools were competing.  Crookston was one of two Class A teams that competed in the competition.
Varsity didn’t place in the top three teams, but the Junior Varsity finished first place with a perfect ranking.

Members of the J.V. team Abigail Bruley, Isley Machado, Brittyn Sanders-Cole, Maddie Hanson, Hamsini Chanda, Kasey Fritz, Gianna Lubarski, Keatyn Kliner. 

Members of the varsity team are Leila Bautista, Mackenzie Funk, Kendra Brekken, Mady Knutson, Avery Trudeau, Avery Mathews, Morgyn Larson, Adalyn Hanson, McKenna Kopecky, and Calleigh Fanfulik.
The teams are coached by Grace Espinosa and Quinn Siegle.

Both teams will compete in kick in the first conference meet on Thursday, November 30, in Hawley. 

The Pirate Dance teams
