The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol has enacted a road closure on Highway 75 south of Halstad due to water over the road. The closure on highway 220 north of Oslo has been expanded. The Highway will remain closed until further notice and traffic should seek alternate routes.
Highways that remain closed:
- Business Highway 2 Sorlie Bridge in East Grand Forks
- Highway 75 south of Halstad
- Highway 220 north of Oslo, between milepost 51 and Marshall County
Road 5 (milepost 69) - Highway 317 between Highway 220 and North Dakota border
Highways that remain open, but currently have water over the road:
- Highway 92 north of Zerkel, near milepost 71
- Highway 9 south of Ada, south of the Wild Rice River bridge
- Highway 200 west of Ada, near milepost 16
When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.

Dozens of roads county and townships roads around Polk County remain closed due to overland flooding. Dan Bruley submitted the photos of 170th Ave SW washed out at the intersection with 340 St SW in Kertsonville Township. For all the Polk County road closures go here.
Officials from Grand Forks and East Grand Forks will be closing the Point Bridge on Minnesota Ave. at 2:30 pm today due to rising flood waters.
Water goes over the road on the East Grand Forks approach to the bridge causing the closure.
The Kennedy Bridge on Gateway Dr. (Hwy. 2) remains open. Be advised of the changing traffic patterns on Gateway Dr. caused by the increased traffic. No left-hand turns are allowed between Washington St. and the Kennedy Bridge unless at a controlled intersection (N. 5th St. & N. 3rd St.).
