WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE WILL MEET MONDAY

The Ways & Means Committee meeting will immediately follow the Crookston City Council Meeting.  There are three items on the agenda for the night.  One is the discussion of the trees downtown and the City’s policy to not remove them upon request.

A donation to the City will also be discussed.  Bob Herkenhoff is proposing to donate a 30-acre natural park around the two man-made ponds along Eickhof Blvd in two phases, beginning with the newest pond on the north end.  In exchange, the City of Crookston would construct an extension of Eickhof Blvd to Fisher Ave along which 14 new residential lots would be created.

The final item is a transfer of $1,151,437.99 from the Special Service District fund to the Flood Construction fund to cover the city’s portion of construction on the flood levy protection system.
