CROOKSTON HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES COLOR WARS DAY WITH DECORATIONS AND VOLLEYBALL

The Crookston High School had its annual Color Wars as part of the fourth day of its Homecoming week. Each grade was assigned a color to wear and decorated their hallway and locker room area with balloons, streamers, and other items in that color. The colors for each grade this year are:

  • 7th grade- Green
  • 8th grade-yellow
  • 9th grade- red
  • 10th grade- blue
  • 11th grade- white
  • 12th grade- black
  • Staff- purple with pink lettering

The students had 45 minutes to decorate the hallways as much as possible in their colors and went above and beyond with the decorations and creativity.

After the students finished decorating their halls, they crowded into the gym to watch several volleyball games between the grades, with the 7th and 8th grades cheering in the stands. The Crookston High School senior boys won the Volleyball championship with a 20-14 victory over the sophomores. The seniors also defeated the freshman class 27-13, and the sophomores defeated the juniors 20-18. After winning the championship, the senior class faced off against the CHS staff, where they pulled off a victory over them 22-13. The event ended with one final game with the Senior class boys against the CHS Girls’ Volleyball seniors, who defeated the boys 15-7.
