CROOKSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT TO OFFER SUMMER DRIVERS ED CLASS

Students currently enrolled in Crookston Public Schools interested in taking Driver Education this summer can register for the class that will begin on Monday, May 24. The rest of the classes will be June 1-9 (M-F).

“Students need to stop in the High School Office to pick up a registration form or download the form (below) and return it to the Crookston High School office,” said Highland School Principal and Drivers Ed instructor Chris Trostad.  “Students need to be 15 years of age by October 31, 2021.  The cost is $325 and needs to be paid on the first day of class.  Registration forms are due back no later than Wednesday, May 19 in the High School office.”

Two classes will be offered to the students. “We will have a morning class from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and an afternoon class from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.,” said Trostad. “The earlier you register the better chance you have of getting your preference of morning or afternoon class.  If you have any questions you can call me at Highland School (281-5600).”

If a student isn’t able to participate in the class this summer, the Crookston School District will be offering a class again in the fall. “It will run two weeks prior to the fall sports season starting,” said Trostad. “It will be the end of July and early August.  So if they turn 15 a little later, they can take the fall class.”
