ONLY ESSENTIAL VISITS TO BE ALLOWED AT RIVERVIEW NURSING HOME

At this time, the RiverView Care Center (nursing home) is requiring family and friends to reschedule their visits to a later time. Essential visits only will be allowed, and visitors will need to be screened. The screening will be inclusive of:

  • Assessing for signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat.
  • Asking if the visitor has traveled outside the country (including cruise ships) in the last 14 days, or has had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, or under investigation for COVID-19, or are ill with respiratory illness.
  • Asking if the visitor is residing in a community where the community-based spread of COVID-19 is occurring.

For essential visits, they ask that the visitor see their loved one in their rooms rather than in common areas such as the dining room or resident gathering areas. Essential visitors will be asked to practice good hand hygiene and avoid any handshaking or hugging or residents. If friends or family wish to see their resident they may call the nurses station at (218) 281-9558 at any time, or they may set up a time to video chat. They can reach out to Kayla Daucsavage at (218) 281-9458 to do this.
