The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team had eight wrestlers competing in the two-day Pequot Lakes Jackhammer tournament. Crookston finished 33rd out of 38 teams with 25 points. Staples-Motley won the tournament with 265.5 points, 84 points better than runner-up Hutchinson.Crookston’s top performer and only placer was Gavyn Hlucny. He finished eighth place at 152 pounds. The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team hosted the Rodd Olson Invitational at the Crookston High School gymnasium on Saturday and finished eighth place out of nine teams with 77.5 points.
